Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

IMPACTS

At 32.0 feet, Several city blocks in northeast Blackwell are affected. Some residences will be surrounded by depths approaching 3 feet in streets. Highway 177 north of Blackwell... and Hubbard Road southeast of Blackwell are closed. Blackwell Avenue is overtopped. Rural lands are covered by floodwaters ranging up to 4 feet in depth in extreme northeastern Grant and Kay counties.

At 1:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 31.9 feet. Bankfull stage is 28.0 feet. Forecast...The Chikaskia River is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling. Flood stage is 29.0 feet. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
