What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there may be low water crossings. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Southwestern Somerset County in south central Pennsylvania... * WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 825 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. A Flood Watch remains in effect through 5 AM Wednesday. Additional heavy rainfall is possible. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Meyersdale, Ursina, New Centerville, Mount Davis, Rockwood, Confluence, Salisbury, Garrett, Addison, Wellersburg, Casselman, Callimont and Seven Springs. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
