...The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier affecting Jasper, Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties. Village Creek Near Kountze affecting Hardin County. Pine Island Bayou Near Sour Lake affecting Hardin and Jefferson Counties. For the Neches River...including Town Bluff, Evadale, Neches River Saltwater Barrier...Moderate flooding is forecast. For the Village Creek...including Kountze...Major flooding is forecast. For the Pine Island Bayou...including Sour Lake...Minor flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening at 800 PM CDT. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pine Island Bayou near Sour Lake. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding will occur. Water covers roads in Bevil Oaks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 6:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.1 feet. Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 28.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday morning.
