Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southwestern Barbour County in northeastern West Virginia... West Central Randolph County in northeastern West Virginia... Central Upshur County in northeastern West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 948 AM EDT, Flooding is ongoing due to heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms. River gauges indicate minor flooding is occurring on Sand Run and Middle Fork Tygart Valley River near Ellamore. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Buckhannon, Tallmansville, Overhill and Ellamore.
