* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Including the following areas, Central Susitna Valley, Southern Susitna Valley and Western Susitna Valley. This includes the cities of Skwentna, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, And Petersville. * WHEN...From 7 PM AKDT this evening through Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Significant rainfall is expected for the Susitna Valley tonight through Tuesday. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected upstream of Lake Creek and Yentna Rivers. Closer to the Parks Highway, from around Willow through the Talkeetna area, expect 1 to 2 inches of rainfall through Wednesday morning. Additional periods of light rain are expected to continue through at least midweek. Excessive runoff will cause water levels to rise along rivers, small creeks, and streams. Rainfall could become impactful to erosion-prone areas and low-lying or poor- drainage areas across the Susitna Valley and Talkeetna. Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
