* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, Madison, Rappahannock, Page, Shenandoah, Augusta and Rockingham counties, and the Northern and Central Virginia Blue Ridge. * WHEN...From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast to move across the area this afternoon to evening. Many areas could see 1 to 2 inches of rain. Areas that see multiple rounds of heavy rain could receive localized higher amounts of 3 to 4 inches.
