* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Montana, including the following area, Butte/Blackfoot Region. * WHEN...From 2 PM MDT this afternoon through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and flood-prone locations such as poor drainage areas, urban areas, and burn scars. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Scattered thunderstorms with rain rates over a half inch per hour are expected this afternoon and evening. If thunderstorms with these rain rates hit susceptible areas such as burn scars and some urban areas, then the flooding potential is high. https://www.weather.gov/mso/hydrology
