* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of western New Mexico. * WHEN...From 1 PM MDT this afternoon through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the area today then move slowly northward across western NM through tonight. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will occur with the heavier storms. Repeated rounds of heavy rainfall are possible in some areas. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
