What: West winds 15 to 25 kt with frequent gusts up to 35 kt and seas 7 to 12 feet possible. Impacts: Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Where: Guam Coastal Waters. When: From Sunday morning through late Tuesday night.

A gale watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to 47 knots has significantly increased...but the specific timing and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider altering their plans.

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 kt with frequent gusts up to 35 kt and seas 7 to 12 feet possible. * WHERE...Guam Coastal Waters. * WHEN...From Sunday morning through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A monsoon surge is developing into Super Typhoon Dolphin. This surge will reach Guam Waters on Sunday, bring strong winds and frequent gale force gusts.
