What is happening

What: Afternoon high temperatures up to 107 degrees expected. Heat Risk will range from Moderate to Major. Impacts: Hot temperatures and limited overnight relief may cause heat illnesses. What the bulletin says to do

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Heat Risk will range from Moderate to Major. * WHERE...San Joaquin Valley and adjacent foothills, as well as Lake Isabella and the Kern River Valley. * WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and limited overnight relief may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Afternoon high temperatures up to 107 degrees will occur from today into Monday. Overnight lows will range from the upper 60s in some valley locations to the lower 80s in some of the higher foothills.
