For the Coastal Flood Statement, up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. For the Beach Hazards Statement, a high risk for rip currents expected. * WHERE...Accomack and Northampton Counties. * WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, from 6 AM to 6 PM EDT Sunday. For the Coastal Flood Statement, from Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon. For the Beach Hazards Statement, from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is possible in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.
