Bulletin details
ESFAFG Areas of concern are between Nome and Council, particularity streams and rivers draining the south aspects of the high elevation terrain of the Seward Peninsula. Rivers and streams in the Nome and Council area are already high following rainfall over the weekend. 1-3 more inches of precipitation are expected by the end of the week which will keep water levels high. No flooding is expected at this time, however residents living near local rivers and streams should be vigilant of the potential for ice in culverts and other stream passage structures to restrict flow resulting water flowing over roads in affected areas.
