The areas affected include... Pamlico Sound... S of Oregon Inlet NC to Cape Hatteras NC out to 20 NM... At 336 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located near The Center Of The Pamlico Sound, or 9 nm south of Engelhard, moving east at 25 knots.
