The areas affected include... Albemarle Sound... Croatan and Roanoke Sounds... S of Currituck Beach Light NC to Oregon Inlet NC out to 20 NM... At 324 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Currituck Beach Light to 12 nm northwest of Edenton, moving southeast at 20 knots.
