At 247 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent lightning. These thunderstorms were located along a line from near Bayshore to Winnabow, moving east at 15 knots. Locations impacted include... Liberty Ship, Dallas Rock, Billy Murrell Reef, Topsail Boxcars, Rich Inlet, Masonboro Sea Buoy, Harris Reef, 5 Mile Boxcars, 10 Mile Rocks, Johnny Mercer Pier, and Figure Eight Island.
