If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets. These storms may produce a waterspout. A Special Marine Warning may be needed.

Coastal waters from Murrells Inlet to South Santee River SC out 20 NM... Waters from Little River Inlet SC to South Santee River SC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60 NM... At 1126 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Jungle to 8 nm southeast of Goldfinch Reef, moving northeast at 15 knots.
