Bulletin details
The areas affected include... Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60 NM... At 148 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent lightning. This thunderstorm was located just northeast of the Esso Nashville wreck, moving east at 25 knots. This storm will continue to move farther offshore.
