What is happening
Doppler radar and satellite detected a line of showers and towering cumulus across the Georgia and South Carolina coast this morning. The environment is favorable for the development of waterspouts within this line of showers. Waterspouts are most likely within breaks within the line of showers over water.
What the bulletin says to do
If waterspouts occur, move your boat away from the waterspout. Remember that waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard. Report waterspouts via social media or by calling the National Weather Service at 1-888-383-2024.
