What is happening

Doppler radar detected a thin line of showers along the South Carolina coast, from Charleston County south to Jasper County. These showers are developing within a environment that may support waterspouts, especially from Fripp Island north to Isle of Palms. The potential for waterspouts could remain until 230 PM.

What the bulletin says to do

If waterspouts occur, move your boat away from the waterspout. Remember that waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard. Report waterspouts via social media or by calling the National Weather Service at 1-888-383-2024.
