A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... At 403 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These showers and thunderstorms were located near St Simons Island Village, or near St. Simons Island, moving east at 20 knots.
