A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... At 236 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 11 nm southwest of Jekyll Island, or 16 nm southwest of St. Simons Island, moving northeast at 20 knots. Gusty winds may arrive well before the storm.
