The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20 NM... Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... At 859 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located over St Simons Island Village, or near St. Simons Island, moving north at 10 knots.
