Waterspouts are possible with this activity. If a waterspout occurs, move your boat away from it. Waterspouts can develop rapidly and produce winds and seas that are dangerous for vessels and everyone onboard.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60 NM... At 344 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of showers and thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These showers and thunderstorms were centered about 48 nm east of Vilano Beach, or 49 nm northeast of Saint Augustine, moving north at 10 knots.
