What the bulletin says to do
Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. Frequent cloud to water lightning is occurring with some of these storme. If caught on the open water stay below deck and, if possible, avoid ungrounded metal objects. Remember, lightning can strike beyond 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.

Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm... Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 20-60 nm... At 629 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a band of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots, extending from just offshore the Treasure coast northward to well offshore the Brevard coast. Cell motion was north at 20 knots.
