The areas affected include... Waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL from 20 to 60 NM excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas... At 350 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 51 nm east of Surfside to 44 nm east of Cape Florida to 42 nm east of Triumph Reef, moving northwest at 15 knots.
