What the bulletin says to do

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office.

These thunderstorms were mainly over the offshore Caribbean waters, moving southwest at 15 knots. with additional thunderstorms approaching the Anegada Passage. Locations impacted include... Mainly open waters of Anegada Passage east of Virgin Gorda and Saint Croix south to 17N and Caribbean waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the coastal waters of Saint Croix.
