The areas affected include... Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 60 NM... Eastern Long Island Sound... Peconic and Gardiners Bays... Long Island South Shore Bays... At 730 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm north of Bridgeport to near Port Jefferson Harbor to 6 nm northeast of Buoy 44025, moving east at 30 knots. strong thunderstorms will be near... Moriches Inlet around 745 PM EDT. Moriches Bay around 750 PM EDT. Westhampton Beach and The Thimbles around 755 PM EDT. Central Long Island Sound and Falkner Island around 800 PM EDT. Mattituck Inlet around 805 PM EDT. Great Peconic Bay, Shinnecock Bay, Shinnecock Inlet, and Madison Reef around 810 PM EDT. Horton Point, Little Peconic Bay, and Six Mile Reef around 815 PM EDT.
