The areas affected include... Eastern Long Island Sound... At 602 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These showers and thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Watch Hill to 9 nm north of The Thimbles, moving southeast at 15 knots. Locations impacted include... Horton Point, Gardiners Island, Orient Point, Fishers Island Sound, Madison Reef, The Race, Six Mile Reef, New London Harbor, Essex Village, and Falkner Island.
