A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Central Long Island Sound... At 742 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Norwalk Islands to near Penfield Reef to near Stratford Shoal to Port Jefferson Harbor, moving northeast at 60 knots.
