At 144 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a broken line of thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 23 nm northwest of South Amboy to 9 nm southwest of Cliffwood Beach, moving east at 35 knots.
