At 535 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 nm west of Upper New York Harbor to near Fair Haven, moving east at 20 knots. Locations impacted include... Sandy Hook, Raritan Bay, Upper New York Harbor, Rockaway Inlet, Sandy Hook Bay, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, and Lower New York Harbor.
