At 648 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Captain Harbor to near Sea Girt Reef, moving northeast at 30 knots. Locations impacted include... Jones Beach, South Oyster Bay, Island Park, Barnum Island, Entrance to New York Harbor, Rockaway Inlet, Middle Bay, Sandy Hook Bay, East Bay, and Jamaica Bay.
