The areas affected include... Sandy Hook NJ to Moriches Inlet NY out 60 NM... Long Island South Shore Bays... At 732 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 nm north of Fire Island Inlet to 7 nm southeast of Shark River Reef, moving east at 20 knots. Locations impacted include... Great South Bay, Jones Beach, South Oyster Bay, Entrance to New York Harbor, Middle Bay, Buoy 44025, East Bay, Fire Island Inlet, and Jones Inlet.
