The areas affected include... Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD... Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD... At 1045 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm west of Alexandria to near Mason Neck State Park to near Smallwood State Park, moving east at 15 knots.
