The areas affected include... Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key 20 to 60 nm out... At 602 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 21 nm southeast of Floyd's Wall Northeast, moving northwest at 20 knots. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
