The areas affected include... Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef to Craig Key 20 to 60 nm out... At 1206 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. This thunderstorm was located 28 nm east of Floyd's Wall Northeast, moving north at 20 knots. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
