The areas affected include... Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to 20 nm west of Dry Tortugas 20 to 60 nm out... At 607 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a strong thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 30 knots. These showers and thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 45 nm south of Twenty-Eight Foot Shoal Light to 47 nm south of Wood's Wall West Crack, moving northwest at 15 knots. Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
