A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Lake Pontchartrain... At 203 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located near Kenner, moving northwest at 15 knots. Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds 25 to 30 knots, higher waves, and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
