A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Barataria Bay... Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM... Lake Salvador and Lake Cataouatche... At 315 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located 7 nm northeast of Golden Meadow, or 13 nm west of Barataria Bay, moving southwest at 10 knots.
