A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Barataria Bay... Breton Sound... Chandeleur Sound... Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm... Coastal Waters from Stake Island LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River from 20 to 60 nm... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island Louisiana out 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island out 20 NM... Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM... Lake Borgne... At 437 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located 9 nm northeast of Venice, or 10 nm north of Pilottown, moving south at 20 knots.
