A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Barataria Bay... Breton Sound... Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm... Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM... At 840 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated an outflow boundary, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This boundary of gusty winds was located over Venice, or 8 nm northwest of Pilottown, moving southeast at 30 knots. Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots and higher waves. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
