Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal Waters from Port Fourchon LA to Lower Atchafalaya River LA out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... Terrebonne Bay... At 200 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak waterspouts. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending from near Terrebonne Bay to 13 nm south of Timbalier Island, moving southeast at 20 knots.
