The areas affected include... Coastal Waters from Port Fourchon LA to Lower Atchafalaya River LA out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... Terrebonne Bay... At 329 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 nm southeast of Point Au Fer Island to near Caillou Bay to near Isle Derniers, moving southwest at 10 knots. Locations impacted include... Isle Derniers and Caillou Bay. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
