Bulletin details
The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... At 1230 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This thunderstorm was located 23 nm east of Ship Shoal 295, or 44 nm south of Isle Derniers, moving south at 10 knots. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes.
