Brief, weak waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on alert in case warnings are issued for waterspout development. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Coastal waters from Pascagoula Mississippi to Stake Island Louisiana out 20 to 60 NM... At 330 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and weak waterspouts. This thunderstorm was located 26 nm southwest of Farewell Buoy, moving east at 15 knots.
