Bulletin details
At 825 AM CDT...Showers capable of producing fair weather waterspouts were located near Fort Gaines, or 7 nm north of Sand Island Lighthouse...moving east at 5 knots. Locations impacted include... Dauphin Island Bridge, Fort Gaines, Fort Morgan, Bon Secour Bay, Weeks Bay, and Alabama Port. The primary threats from these waterspouts are wind gusts up to 30 knots and locally higher waves. Boaters should consider seeking safe harbor until these waterspouts have passed. Weather conditions support the development of waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waves and seas. If a waterspout is sighted...seek safe harbor immediately.
