At 526 PM CDT...A line of strong thunderstorms was located along a line extending from 14 nm north of Lillian Bridge to near Navarre Beach to near Highway 331 Bridge...moving southeast at 20 knots. Locations impacted include... Fort Walton Beach, Big Lagoon, Pensacola Beach, Shalimar, Fort Pickens, Okaloosa Pier, Pensacola Bay, West Choctawhatchee Bay, East Santa Rosa Sound, and West Santa Rosa Sound. The primary threats from these storms are wind gusts up to 30 knots...locally higher waves...and heavy downpours. Boaters should consider seeking safe harbor until these storms have passed. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible and keep away from metal objects.
