The areas affected include... Lake Michigan Michigan City IN to St. Joseph MI 5 NM offshore to mid-line of lake.... At 458 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms are located approximately 16 nm northwest of New Buffalo, or 18 nm west of St. Joseph Light, moving east at 35 knots.
