The areas affected include... Nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sturgeon Bay... Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon Bay... * At 1027 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These strong thunderstorms were located along a line from 46 miles southeast of Newport State Park to 10 miles southeast of Jacksonport, or along a line from 60 miles east of Sturgeon Bay to 15 miles east of Sturgeon Bay, moving east at 40 mph. This strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
