A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas... Nearshore Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Northerly Island... Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid Lake... At 957 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing a north wind shift with speeds up to 30 knots. This gust front was located along a line extending from 29 nm northwest of St. Joseph Light to 8 nm southwest of Waukegan Harbor, moving south at 25 knots.
